On a Lighter Note

Are there any causes that you like to support?
One of my favorite places to volunteer is the Common Ground Free Store in Delaware, Ohio. I love that I get to do this with my daughters and that the store stands by its name, providing a hot meal, clothing, shoes, toiletries, housewares, and most of all, a smile and a kind heart to share with others – all absolutely free.

Where is an interesting place you have visited or an incredible view you have seen?
Our family has owned a travel trailer for several years, and I have been very fortunate to have visited many places across the United States. My favorite spot with breathtaking views is Arches National Park in Utah. Wow! Simply stunning. The park has over 2,000 natural sandstone arches. The Delicate Arch, a nearly 60-foot-tall, freestanding arch, is the one I like the most. You will need to take a strenuous, three-mile hike to see the arch up close. It is definitely worth it!

What was your first job?
Besides some babysitting jobs early on, my first job in which I earned an actual paycheck was as a hostess at Bob Evans Restaurants during the summer between my freshman and sophomore years in high school. Living in Sandusky, Ohio, near Cedar Point amusement park, many tourists visited my hometown. It was quite interesting talking to people from all over who were visiting Sandusky to enjoy a day at the park.
