Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020, the primary objective for many organizations has been the safety of their employees and clients. Angela McDermott, shareholder and managing director of operations at Kaiser Consulting, recently spoke with The Ohio Society of CPAs to discuss the many steps the firm has implemented during the pandemic.
In addition to creating new policies and procedures around the guidance from the CDC and state and local health departments, McDermott explained how Kaiser Consulting placed a strong emphasis on increasing communications with both employees and clients. She stressed the importance of quickly assessing the current situation and determining a path forward, focusing on honest and heartfelt communication with the firm's clients and employees.
"Always put safety first, remember to be flexible, and help where needed," said McDermott.
