Michele Himes, CPA, CGMA, MAPS (pictured left), a shareholder and managing director of client service at Kaiser Consulting, attended the Women's Small Business Accelerator (WSBA) Fireside Chat in Upper Arlington on August 5, 2021. The event, rescheduled from its original date in 2020 due to the pandemic, was held to generate interest with young entrepreneurs in WSBA's three main programs:
Specifically, the Mentor Match program is for women entrepreneurs who have been in business for at least three years and are looking to achieve specific business goals through a mentorship. This personalized and tailored mentoring program connects growth-stage women business owners with established Central Ohio entrepreneurs and corporate executives who have achieved success in their businesses. Mentorships focus on specific and individualized goals, the exchange of real-world business advice, and works to take entrepreneurs to the next level in their business.
In 2020, Michele volunteered as a mentor in the Mentor Match program. She mentored a Columbus-based woman tax accountant/bookkeeper with her own business catering to the self-employed and small businesses that provide professional or creative services.
At the Fireside Chat, Michele teamed up with the WSBA's Teresa Russell (pictured right), vice-chair of the board of directors, to share the benefits of the Mentor Match program with those in attendance.
The WSBA is a nonprofit accelerator founded by successful women business owners and provides education, peer support, mentoring, and accountability to help women on their entrepreneurial journey. Thank you, Michele, for volunteering your time and talent to help other women business owners grow, scale, and meet their individual goals and objectives.
