With over 25 years' experience, Cassie is an accomplished professional with extensive accounting knowledge that stems from her diverse background. As a public accountant, Cassie performed internal and external audits for manufacturing, banking, and retail clients. In the private sector, Cassie acted in the roles of accountant and then assistant controller for bank holding companies. Cassie also spent time as an independent accounting consultant, where she provided general accounting services to small businesses and served as their trusted advisor.
With her excellent communication and organizational skills, Cassie has the proven ability to multi-task and effectively manage projects. She is adept in all general accounting functions, including the month-end close process, financial reporting, cash management, and inventory, and her capabilities also include financial analysis and process improvement type projects. Clients respect her expansive knowledge and appreciate the immediate value she brings to her engagements.
In addition, Cassie utilizes her strong audit skills and makes significant contributions to internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance projects. Early on as a Kaiser consultant, she quickly developed an expertise in the design, implementation, and testing of internal controls. As a result, Cassie is extremely proficient in all aspects of compliance audits, from performing initial risk assessments to developing remediation plans for failed controls. Her meticulous reporting and documentation style have benefited clients with improved compliance audit results.

Financial literacy, especially for women, is a cause that is very important to me.
What is the first car you ever drove?
The first car that I drove was a Volkswagen Bug.
Do you play a musical instrument?
Although I have not played it recently, I do play the clarinet. I still have the instrument I played in high school.
