About Jennifer
A versatile professional with 25+ years of accounting, finance and auditing experience, Jenni’s in-depth knowledge comes from positions at a global professional services firm and two Fortune 500 companies. A CPA (Inactive), she has a proven ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and producing quality results for her clients.
Beginning her career as an auditor with Big-6 firm Arthur Andersen, Jenni planned, participated in, and supervised audit engagements in numerous industries. Subsequently, she held various leadership roles at regional and then super-regional, publicly held companies in the highly regulated utility industry. Her positions included senior financial accountant, manager of financial planning, lead financial analyst in financial planning, and lead regulatory analyst in regulatory accounting.
With experience working in dedicated business units and shared services environments, Jenni can perform financial planning, analysis and reporting for multi-entity companies, train and lead professionals, research and analyze corporate business issues and accounting pronouncements, and support executive and management teams with timely and accurate financial information. She is comfortable preparing compliance reports and exhibits for and responding to inquiries from external auditors, stakeholders, and multiple government regulatory agencies. Previously, she has prepared significant portions of management’s discussion and analysis for SEC annual 10-K and quarterly 10-Q filings.
Jenni has excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and is proficient in implementing appropriate controls over accounting processes, overseeing the monthly close process, including delivering consolidated results, budgeting, cash flow preparation, and performing analyses for key ratios, capital structures and returns on equity. On a Lighter Note
Do you volunteer anywhere?
I deliver Meals on Wheels once a month through Lifecare Alliance. It is gratifying to bring healthy meals to homebound people who need assistance.
What was your first job?
I started working for a family-run concession food service company in high school. We traveled all over to state fairs and community festivals. This work taught me about counting inventory, reconciling cash, customer service, and time management. Although we worked long hours, it was a fun and rewarding job.
Have you ever participated in a physically or mentally challenging activity?
Years ago, I trained for five months and then ran a half marathon with two of my neighbors. I had never been a runner, so the experience was entirely new. I started my fitness journey through that half marathon and continued running for many years. Although I no longer run, I try to work out daily, whether going to the gym or walking my dog.
