About Michelle

A seasoned CPA with over 25 years’ experience, Michelle’s background includes both public and private accounting. Early in her career, Michelle spent ten years at Arthur Andersen, where she obtained extensive experience in the auditing function, financial and regulatory reporting, and internal controls. She moved on to a management role in a Fortune 500 company with responsibilities that included managing licensing and acquisitions, implementing a zero-based budget model, and overseeing financial planning and analysis projects.

Extremely proficient in Sarbanes-Oxley and Japanese-SOX compliance, Michelle has an in-depth understanding of the risk assessment process, internal control design and implementation, control testing, and remediation for failed controls. She also has extensive experience in managing the reassessment, documentation, and testing of SOX controls through an SAP implementation. With her solid accounting background, Michelle is adept at performing comprehensive financial analyses and modeling in addition to general accounting functions such as month-end close and reconciliations.

Michelle’s excellent project management and problem-solving skills are invaluable to her projects and give her the ability to quickly assess a client’s needs and create insightful solutions that make her an asset to any financial or audit engagement.
