About Mindi
Mindi is a versatile, competent CPA with 25+ years of Big Four, Fortune 500 and corporate accounting experience. With a wealth of knowledge and expertise in financial forecasting, analysis and reporting, she is adept at managing vital initiatives for senior management and helping clients achieve organizational effectiveness.
Beginning her career as an auditor with the multinational professional services firm Deloitte & Touche (now Deloitte), Mindi assisted in audit engagements for various clients – from small, privately held to large, publicly traded companies. She then served as an accounting manager for a global provider of a fully integrated manufacturing, planning and financial software system, where she researched and accounted for complex software revenue recognition and foreign subsidiary intercompany transactions.
Subsequently, Mindi held positions as a senior accountant, financial analyst and senior financial analyst at a worldwide Fortune 500 power management company. Her responsibilities included coordinating the consolidated international reporting and analytic analysis of a $280 million corporate budget, preparing and managing the annual profit plan analysis, reports and commentary for presentation to the Chairman of the Board and CEO, and serving as a strategic partner to senior management by providing relevant assessments for decision-making. She has also prepared financial statements and tax returns and spearheaded ad hoc projects for clients at a public accounting firm.
Mindi is comfortable developing, performing and overseeing complex special projects for an enterprise. She is proficient in corporate budgeting, consolidation accounting, transactional reporting for acquisitions and divestitures, debt covenant calculations, cost-benefit analysis, cash flow reporting and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. Mindi’s software skill set includes Oracle, Khalix by Longview Solutions and QuickBooks.
Additionally, she expertly supervises accounting teams, collaborates with stakeholders, and acts as a liaison with third parties, including external auditors. On a Lighter Note
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
In my spare time, I love to travel. I often mention to my husband that I should become a professional traveler. A favorite place I have visited is London, but I have never seen a beach I did not love.
Have you visited a memorable restaurant?
When my daughter was young, we went to the American Girl store in Chicago. While we were there, we had tea at the Drake Hotel. It was so fancy, and she loved it. That was a day we both will remember.
Have you ever driven or piloted anything other than a car or light truck?
I did not drive or pilot it, but I had the opportunity to ride in the Goodyear Blimp when I was in high school. The pilots even flew me over my house so I could see it from the air. It was an amazing experience.
