About Melanie
Melanie is a dynamic, versatile leader with success in accounting and business development in diverse business environments. As a CPA with core expertise in finance and accounting, and a talent for identifying process improvements, motivating teams to reduce costs, eliminate re-work, and increase revenue, she is a trusted advisor to clients in assessing needs. Melanie also has a global perspective and a strong rapport with others.
Melanie joined Kaiser Consulting in 2014 as an accounting consultant, and after several successful client engagements, she agreed to manage Kaiser Consulting's business development efforts beginning in 2016. As business development manager, she mainly focused on helping large companies at all stages of growth to relieve their pain points with the right mix of finance, accounting, and information technology solutions. She has been pivotal in growing our client base, building solid relationships, and helping our clients achieve their goals.
In 2021, Melanie became a shareholder in the firm, and in 2022, she was promoted to the newly created position of director of recruiting. Melanie oversees all strategic and tactical aspects of our firm's recruitment process as director of recruiting, ensuring Kaiser Consulting continues to hire the topmost accomplished consultants in our profession.
Melanie started her career with Big-5 Firm, Arthur Andersen, where she performed and supervised audits, reviews, and special projects for clients in a variety of industries. She has held other accounting management roles providing leadership and support with technical accounting, financial statements, month-end close processes, budgets, consolidations, cash flow, variances, and investments. In each role, she excelled at providing global support, leading change, and improving processes.
Melanie is a customer-focused, collaborative professional with a proven record of success in accounting, business development, and exceptional customer service. She leverages her expansive network of contacts and her unique talents and industry experiences to deliver customized service and value to clients.

On a Lighter Note
What was your first job?
I worked at McDonald's part-time through high school and college. I think everyone should work at a fast-food restaurant at some point in their life.
Is there a favorite dish you make that people rave over?
Everyone enjoys it when I make my mom's Miracle Whip chocolate cake. It sounds gross, but it is the best chocolate cake ever!
Have you visited an excellent museum?
One of my favorites was a traveling museum exhibit honoring Princess Diana. It included various personal mementos, family heirlooms, and many of her designer gowns, including her famous wedding gown. The first thing you saw when you walked in was her diamond tiara, enclosed in a glass case – something I'll always remember because you just don't see diamond tiaras every day!
