11/21/2022 – Tiffany McGinnis, CPA, MPA, director of client service, and Sharon Thompson, accounting consultant, represented Kaiser Consulting at the firm's exhibitor booth while attending the Insurance Accounting & Systems Association (IASA) Ohio Chapter’s 45th Annual Conference. The conference is the largest regional insurance accounting conference, offering relevant, insightful and timely sessions for insurance and accounting professionals.
11/17/2022 – Kaiser Consulting team members attended the 2022 Columbus Business First Best Places to Work in Central Ohio Celebration at COSI in Downtown Columbus to recognize the top-rated workplace cultures in our business community. Kaiser Consulting was thrilled to be named a Best Place to Work for the seventh time and be ranked #2 out of 10 medium-sized companies for 2022! 11/9/2022 – Michele Himes, CPA, CGMA, MAPS, shareholder + managing director of client service, and Tracey Holecek, CPA, shareholder + managing director of client service, presented "Make an Impact: Leading with Influence," on behalf of Kaiser Consulting to JPMorgan Chase’s Women on the Move - In Finance group. Michele and Tracey discussed the traits and characteristics of an influential leader and helped identify how best to fine-tune and leverage influence, personally and professionally.
10/28/2022 – Kaiser Consulting team members Michelle Martin, CPA, CGMA, shareholder + managing director of finance, Kendra Comer, CPA, MBA, and Jennifer Lindley, CPA, both accounting consultants, volunteered at The Reeb Center's Halloween Trunk or Treat event. The annual event lets attendees enjoy an evening of family-friendly Halloween fun. The Reeb Center, a nonprofit organization, seeks to build a prosperous, healthy, equitable South Side Columbus, Ohio, neighborhood that empowers families to transcend systemic poverty. FINACA members gather in person twice a year to learn impactful educational content and enjoy ample networking opportunities. 10/6/2022 – Lori Kaiser, CPA, CGMA, MBA, founder + CEO of Kaiser Consulting, co-presented "Scaling, Succession, Selling – What Happens Next for Your Business" with Mindi Wells, Esq. at a Lunch & Learn Workshop hosted by Wells Law. Lori discussed her first-hand experience as a founder contemplating the future ownership of her business, shared the lessons she has learned since founding her company in 1992 and provided practical tips for business owners to consider in their own succession plans.
8/20/2022 – Jill Kerns, CISA, shareholder + managing director of IT compliance & data security, Angela McDermott, shareholder + managing director of operations, Melanie Gerosa, CPA, MBA, shareholder + director of recruiting, and Megha Manek, MBA, accounting consultant, represented Kaiser Consulting at the firm's booth at the India Festival 2022 hosted by the Federation of Indian Associations – Ohio. The Central Ohio nonprofit organization's vision is to provide a unique platform for Ohioans to explore, experience, and embrace the culture and heritage of India while fostering interaction between mainstream organizations and the local Asian Indian community to strengthen cooperation.
7/21/2022 – Kaiser Consulting was a Champion Sponsor for The Ohio Society of CPAs Women, Wealth & Wellness Virtual Conference presented by the Women's Initiatives Committee (WIC). The conference brought together accounting and finance professionals to hear inspirational leaders discuss overcoming setbacks, breaking boundaries, and building the lives and careers they seek. Lori Kaiser, CPA, CGMA, MBA, founder + CEO of Kaiser Consulting, welcomed participants as chair of the WIC, and Tiffany McGinnis, CPA, MPA, director of client service, welcomed participants on behalf of our firm as a conference sponsor. Lisa Glass, CPA, MAcc, director of client service, introduced speaker and nutrition expert CiCi Stephenson. Additionally, Kaiser Consulting was proud to award one college student a $500 accounting scholarship during the conference.
7/20/2022 – Alison Williams, CIA, CISA, IT audit consultant at Kaiser Consulting, co-presented the post-conference workshop, "Practicing Agility," held immediately following The Institute of Internal Auditors 2022 International Conference in Chicago. The workshop helped participants gain insights into being an agile thinker when exploring new auditing strategies.
6/21/2022 – Jill Kerns, CISA, shareholder + managing director of IT compliance and data security, Lisa Glass, CPA, MAcc, director of client service, and Jill Lukshin-Hoff, CPA, MSAc, director of client service, presented "Overcoming the Financial Risks Facing Nonprofits" on behalf of Kaiser Consulting at a public event hosted by Philanthropy Ohio. The event helped educate nonprofit and philanthropic professionals about overcoming financial, compliance, and cybersecurity risks facing their organizations, including discussing the five most critical areas to prioritize in accounting, finance, and IT to help their organizations achieve their missions.
6/13/2022 - 6/16/2022 – Kaiser Consulting was a Session Sponsor for The Ohio CPA Foundation's Accounting Careers Awareness Program (ACAP-Ohio), presented by The Ohio Society of CPAs, the National Association of Black Accountants, and The Ohio State University’s Fisher College of Business. ACAP-Ohio is a week-long program for racially and ethnically underrepresented high school students interested in exploring careers in accounting and business. Additionally, Kaiser Consulting was proud to award one ACAP-Ohio student with a $500 college scholarship.
Megan Staley, CPA, MAcc, accounting consultant at Kaiser Consulting, welcomed students with messages about what surprised her most about the accounting profession and advice she would have for those entering the field. She was surprised her accounting career has provided opportunities to work on a variety of projects involving more than just accounting, including business operations and IT, given her plentiful opportunities to expand her network and let her realize the benefits of being able to craft the “story” behind the numbers for added insights. Megan's advice to the students was always to do their best to succeed in every role, keep an open mind, be willing to learn, and use challenges as opportunities to build their skill set. She also discussed the importance of having mentors you respect to help you find future success in your accounting career.
5/24/2022 – Tracey Holecek, CPA, shareholder + managing director of client service at Kaiser Consulting, presented "Make an Impact: Leading with Influence" at a second session of Hot Topics for CPAs Virtual Conference hosted by The Ohio Society of CPAs. Tracey discussed how to lay the foundation for influence as a leadership competency, understand how leadership competency impacts an organization's culture and emotional climate, and identify how best to fine-tune and leverage influence in your leadership role.

5/16/2022 - 5/18/2022 – Lori Kaiser, CPA, CGMA, MBA, founder + CEO of Kaiser Consulting, attended the Spring Governing Council meeting of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). The Governing Council is the governing body of the AICPA and is comprised of approximately 265 elected members and representatives from every state and U.S. territory. The Council meets twice a year and focuses on issues important to the accounting profession and the AICPA's initiatives. Lori is currently serving a three-year term as a representative for Ohio.

5/5/2022 – Cindy Ries, bookkeeping consultant at Kaiser Consulting, volunteered at the Opera Columbus Gala, celebrating the organization's 40th anniversary season in 2022. The gala fundraiser is one of the nonprofit's most significant events of the year and helps Opera Columbus remain a vibrant and active member of the community.
4/27/2022 - 4/28/2022 – Lori Kaiser, CPA, CGMA, MBA, founder + CEO of Kaiser Consulting, joined fellow members of the Finance and Accounting Consultants Alliance (FINACA) at the organization's Spring 2022 Conference. Kaiser Consulting is an independent member of FINACA, a leading nationwide network of premier finance and accounting consulting firms located throughout the United States, representing the expertise of over 800 professionals.
