11/21/2024 Tracey Holecek, CPA, managing partner + shareholder at Kaiser Consulting, was recognized as a 2024 Power of Change Honoree by The Ohio Society of CPAs (OSCPA) during the inaugural Power of Change Luncheon held at Columbus State Community College. The OSCPA announced this year's honorees in July, and the honorees received their awards at the luncheon. The Power of Change accolade recognizes exceptional women in the accounting profession for influencing meaningful change in their personal and professional communities and their relentless efforts to foster a more inclusive and supportive environment for women. Kaiser Consulting team members joining Tracey at the celebration luncheon included shareholders + managing directors of client service Michele Himes, CPA, CGMA, MAPS, and Jill Kerns, CISA; Angela McDermott, shareholder + managing director of operations; Melanie Gerosa, CPA, MBA, shareholder + director of recruiting; Hilary Dodson, CPA, CGMA, shareholder + resource manager; and directors of client service Lisa Glass, CPA, MAcc, Michelle Lindsey, NP, and Tiffany McGinnis, CPA, MPA. 11/19/2024 – Tiffany McGinnis, CPA, MPA, director of client service, and Sharon Thompson, accounting consultant, represented Kaiser Consulting while attending the Insurance Accounting & Systems Association (IASA) Ohio Chapter’s 47th Annual Conference and tending the firm’s booth in the Exhibitor Business Show. The IASA conference is the largest regional insurance accounting conference, offering relevant, insightful and timely sessions for insurance and accounting professionals.


11/18/2024 – Kaiser Consulting was pleased to host an encore presentation of our three-hour webinar, "Ohio Ethics Professional Standards & Responsibilities," for business professionals to learn about ethics and earn continuing professional education. Topics discussed included key components of an ethical culture, specific ethics rules for CPAs and valuable lessons based on real-life examples. Alison Williams, CIA, CISA, IT audit consultant at Kaiser Consulting, developed and presented the live virtual course.


11/13/2024Michele Himes, CPA, CGMA, MAPS, shareholder + managing director of client service, and Hilary Dodson, CPA, CGMA, shareholder + resource manager, represented Kaiser Consulting at the 26th Annual Conway Center for Family Business Awards & Expo in Columbus to celebrate the accomplishments of Central Ohio family businesses. The Conway Center is a membership-driven, nonprofit organization providing educational programs and resources to help family-owned businesses grow and transition to future generations. Kaiser Consulting is a proud Service Provider member of the Conway Center, and we enjoyed the opportunity to host a booth during the Expo.


11/12/2024 – Kaiser Consulting team members attended the 2024 Columbus Business First Best Places to Work in Central Ohio Awards Celebration in downtown Columbus to recognize the top-rated workplace cultures in our business community. Kaiser Consulting was delighted to be named a Best Place to Work for the ninth time and be ranked #3 out of 10 medium-sized companies for 2024! 11/8/2024Tracey Holecek, CPA, managing partner + shareholder at Kaiser Consulting, attended the closing luncheon for this year's Accounting Careers Leadership Academy (ACLA) hosted by The Ohio CPA Foundation (Foundation). The ACLA aims to prepare students for a successful future in the accounting industry and build a strong pipeline of talented CPAs and accounting professionals. Kaiser Consulting was proud to be one of the sponsors of the 2024 ACLA program, which included two virtual learning sessions and the luncheon. Our firm was also thrilled to partner with the Foundation to award a $500 scholarship to an accounting and finance major at Ashland University during the closing luncheon.


10/29/2024 – Kaiser Consulting team members Jill Kerns, CISA, shareholder + managing director of client service, Tiffany McGinnis, CPA, MPA, and Megan Staley, CPA, MAcc, both directors of client service, attended The Institute of Internal Auditors Central Ohio Chapter's Annual CPE event, Gaining the Edge – Internal Audit Innovation. Kaiser Consulting was proud to be one of several sponsors for this highly anticipated in-person CPE event, where Tiffany and Megan presented "Workplace Culture."


10/28/2024 – 10/29/2024 – Kaiser Consulting is proud to be a member of the Finance and Accounting Consultants Alliance (FINACA), a nationwide network of premier finance and accounting consulting firms located throughout the U.S. With the expertise of 1,000+ professionals, member firms focus on delivering exceptional client service in the areas of accounting, internal audit, financial management and more. Tracey Holecek, CPA, managing partner + shareholder, represented Kaiser Consulting at the Fall 2024 FINACA Conference, where members from around the country gathered to share insights, foster professional connections, and explore strategic and operational approaches for business growth. 10/24/2024 – Michele Himes, CPA, CGMA, MAPS, shareholder + managing director of client service, Michelle Lindsey, NP, director of client service, and Sarah Matthews, CPA, accounting consultant + quality control coordinator for outsourced accounting, presented the live webinar “Internal Controls for Family Businesses” on behalf of Kaiser Consulting in partnership with the Conway Center for Family Business. Delivering pertinent information about processes used to identify potential weaknesses and practical recommendations that can be implemented to improve the organization's overall internal control structure and mitigate risk, participants learned about entity-level controls, business process controls, key IT controls, and how to navigate the challenges specific to smaller organizations. The Conway Center is a membership-driven, nonprofit organization providing educational programs and resources to help family-owned businesses grow and transition to future generations. 10/17/2024Tracey Holecek, CPA, managing partner + shareholder at Kaiser Consulting, presented "Meaningful Business Relationships" to an audience of college students attending the second of two virtual sessions of the Accounting Careers Leadership Academy (ACLA) conference hosted by The Ohio CPA Foundation. The ACLA aims to prepare students for a successful future in the accounting industry and build a strong pipeline of talented CPAs and accounting professionals. Kaiser Consulting is proud to be one of the sponsors of the 2024 ACLA program and is looking forward to awarding a $500 scholarship to a student during the in-person closing brunch, which will be held in November.

10/2/2024 – Kaiser Consulting team members Tracey Holecek, CPA, managing partner and shareholder, and Angela McDermott, shareholder and managing director of operations, attended the Women’s Small Business Accelerator’s 2024 Annual Gala & Fundraiser. The event presented a powerful opportunity to inspire, support and empower women entrepreneurs.


9/26/2024Michelle Lindsey, NP, director of client service, represented Kaiser Consulting by tending the firm’s booth at the 2024 Columbus Apartment Association (CAA) Expo at the Makoy Center in Hilliard. The CAA provides legislative, education and networking services for member companies that own or manage multifamily communities and those that service the apartment industry.


Summer 2024 – Kaiser Consulting was happy to participate in Hustle & Grow, a summer skilled trade
empowerment training program hosted by Remember Us Urban Legends (RUUL). RUUL provides community-based programs focused on trauma-informed care and models to equip teens with the skills and social capital needed to succeed in school, work and life. During the nine-week, five-days-a-week Hustle & Grow program, Central Ohio youth participants were paid a stipend while learning landscaping or hair-braiding skills and developing financial literacy, entrepreneurship and social-emotional skills. The teens also completed community service and received hours toward their high school graduation. Kaiser Consulting team members Michele Himes, CPA, CGMA, MAPS, shareholder + managing director of client service, Hilary Dodson, CPA, CGMA, shareholder + resource manager, and Patty Luther, accounting consultant, participated in a four-part financial literacy presentation series, which included discussions about spending less than one earns, credit, borrowing and career preparation. The teens were encouraged to spend less than they earned throughout the program, and at summer's end, Huntington presented a $12,500 donation check to match the balances of those teens who had money left in their accounts!


9/10/2024Michelle Lindsey, NP, and Tiffany McGinnis, CPA, MPA, both directors of client service, and Cindy Ries, bookkeeping consultant, represented Kaiser Consulting at a “Breakfast with the Boss” event at the Mid-Ohio Food Collective (MOFC). The event stressed the importance of food for healthy living and showcased the innovative ways MOFC supports our neighbors throughout a 20-county service area in Central Ohio and beyond. The event also celebrated the positive impact Matt Habash, president and CEO of MOFC, has made during his 40-year tenure serving the organization.


8/29/2024Michele Himes, CPA, CGMA, MAPS, shareholder + managing director of client service, and Lisa Glass, CPA, MAcc, and Michelle Lindsey, NP, both directors of client service, presented the live webinar "How to be Audit Ready" on behalf of Kaiser Consulting in partnership with the Conway Center for Family Business. Offering year-round best practices to make the audit process less daunting, attendees learned audit triggers, the requirements for an efficient audit process, and how being audit-ready demonstrates financial credibility, mitigates risks and positions their businesses for growth. The Conway Center is a membership-driven, nonprofit organization providing educational programs and resources to help family-owned businesses grow and transition to future generations. 8/13/2024Lori Kaiser, CPA, CGMA, MBA, founder, strategic advisor + shareholder, and Megan Staley, CPA, MAcc, director of client service, presented "Money Mapping: Navigating Your Financial Pathways" on behalf of Kaiser Consulting to the Emerging Professionals Employee Resource Group at Bath & Body Works. In the live virtual presentation, Lori and Megan discussed personal finance topics and shared their expertise through a Q&A session.


7/25/2024 – Kaiser Consulting team members Michele Himes, CPA, CGMA, MAPS, shareholder + managing director of client service, Michelle Lindsey, NP, director of client service, David Chew, CPA, MBA, and Lisa Johnson, both accounting consultants, and Barry Cunningham, bookkeeping consultant, presented “QuickBooks Tips & Tricks” in partnership with the Conway Center for Family Business. Sharing best practices for how to navigate the complexities of QuickBooks using practical suggestions to maximize the software’s potential, attendees learned helpful tips and tricks to streamline accounting processes, how to leverage QuickBooks to make informed financial decisions, essential insights for non-accountant business owners for utilizing QuickBooks effectively and much more. 7/18/2024 Kaiser Consulting was a Champion Sponsor for The Ohio Society of CPAs (OSCPA) Women, Wealth & Wellness 2024 Conference presented by the OSCPA's Women's Initiative Group. The virtual conference brought together hundreds of professionals, including a dozen Kaiser Consulting professionals, who learned from inspirational women leaders how to become empowered to overcome setbacks, achieve success, and build the lives and careers they seek. Melanie Gerosa, CPA, MBA, director of recruiting at Kaiser Consulting, joined other female business leaders for a panel discussion, "When Passion Meets Profession." The panelists shared their career paths, the challenges they have overcome and advice for helping others. During the conference, Tracey Holecek, CPA, managing partner + shareholder at Kaiser Consulting, was recognized as one of twelve outstanding women named as 2024 Power of Change honorees. Delivering valuable insights on financial reporting and best practices for businesses, attendees learned key aspects of a strong financial reporting function, how to recognize potential issues in the reporting process, the types of accountants, how to determine the skill set an organization's accounting team needs and much more. 6/20/2024Tiffany McGinnis, CPA, MPA, director of client service, represented Kaiser Consulting at the 2024 National Leadership Conference co-presented by Women for Economic Leadership and Development (WELD) and Otterbein University. During the day-long 14th anniversary event, themed "Rise. Thrive. Lead. Building Strong Networks and Allies," more than 30 extraordinary women delivered presentations on a variety of timely career topics to help attendees cultivate connections that drive more joy, prosperity and health in their businesses, communities and at home.


6/11/2024Megan Staley, CPA, MAcc, director of client service at Kaiser Consulting, graduated from Elevate Cbus, the Columbus Chamber of Commerce’s uniquely structured six-session professional development program. Megan was one of 32 Central Ohio leaders to complete the program and graduate as a member of Cohort Eight. Elevate Cbus offers actionable insights from reputable guest speakers who are experts in their respective industries while teaching the art of business communication and providing valuable leadership tips to promote career success.


6/7/2024Michele Himes, CPA, CGMA, MAPS, shareholder + managing director of client service, and Danielle Pietrowicz, bookkeeping consultant, represented Kaiser Consulting at the 2024 Brady Ware Women’s Leadership Conference and Luncheon “Empowering Women. Elevating Leadership.” Recognizing the invaluable contributions of women in both the community and workplace, the 11th annual conference, presented by the Better Business Bureau of Central Ohio, National Association of Women Business Owners, Columbus, Ohio Chapter and the Women’s Small Business Accelerator, provided attendees with knowledge, wisdom and networking opportunities to support growth as leaders.


5/5/2024Craig Thompson, CPA, CIA, CFSA, MBA, accounting consultant at Kaiser Consulting, participated in the Let Me Run Columbus SpringFest 5K. Let Me Run is a nonprofit wellness program that inspires elementary and middle school boys to be themselves, be active and belong. 4/25/2024Jill Lukshin-Hoff, CPA, MSAc, director of client service, Danielle Pietrowicz, bookkeeping consultant, and Karen Waters, accounting consultant, attended the Communities In Schools of Ohio’s 30th Anniversary Community of Support Breakfast on behalf of Kaiser Consulting. The nonprofit organization works directly inside schools across Ohio to surround at-risk students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.


4/24/2024 – Kaiser Consulting team members volunteered at the Mid-Ohio Food Collective (MOFC) by stocking shelves, sorting and packing grocery and household items, and preparing goods for distribution. As the largest food bank in Ohio, MOFC is a nonprofit organization working to make nutritious food accessible to those in our local communities experiencing food insecurity. Our firm is privileged to support worthy organizations such as this one through Kaiser Cares, our firmwide platform for community giving and volunteerism.

3/12/2024 – Jill Lukshin-Hoff, CPA, MSAc, director of client service, attended the "Donors, Boards and the Power Dynamic" education program hosted by the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Central Ohio Chapter and held at the Girl Scouts of Ohio's Heartland Council Headquarters. AFP Central Ohio is the premier resource for promoting ethical fundraising while providing networking opportunities, educational programs, and events for those seeking professional development and career advancement support.


3/5/2024Jill Lukshin-Hoff, CPA, MSAc, director of client service, attended the Ohio Chamber of Commerce's 2024 Women in Business Summit presented by FCBank, an event for networking and celebrating the achievements of women in business while holding meaningful conversations on how to build workplaces where women thrive. The third annual summit focused on mentorships and other strong professional relationships that help individuals learn, grow and feel supported in the workplace.


2/23/2024 – Tracey Holecek, CPA, managing partner + shareholder, Hilary Dodson, CPA, CGMA, shareholder + resource manager, and Jill Lukshin-Hoff, CPA, MSAc, director of client service, represented Kaiser Consulting at the Sneaker Soiree benefiting Girls on the Run of Central Ohio. Girls on the Run is a nonprofit supporting an international movement to creatively incorporate running into a life-changing, self-esteem-building program to inspire girls to recognize their inner strength and to be healthy and confident. For the third year in a row, Kaiser Consulting was proud to be a sponsor of this remarkable event where all proceeds benefit girls in need in Central Ohio.


1/31/2024Jill Lukshin-Hoff, CPA, MSAc, director of client service at Kaiser Consulting, attended the 2024 Medical Mutual Central Ohio Pillar Awards for Community Service ceremony held at The Ohio Statehouse and hosted by Smart Business. Pillar Awards honor businesses and individuals that make outstanding contributions to their communities. Congratulations to Julia Noulin-Mérat, general director and CEO of Opera Columbus, for being named a Nonprofit Executive Director of the Year.


1/26/2024Lisa Glass, CPA, MAcc, director of client service, and Sarah Matthews, CPA, consultant + quality control coordinator for outsourced accounting, represented Kaiser Consulting at a networking luncheon and interactive goal-setting session with Cincinnati members of The Ohio Society of CPAs Women's Initiatives Group and Xavier University students. 1/17/2024Jill Lukshin-Hoff, CPA, MSAc, director of client service at Kaiser Consulting, volunteered on the planning committee and attended the “Rooted in Reeb Celebration,” an inaugural donor appreciation event celebrating eight years of impact by The Reeb Center. A nonprofit organization, The Reeb Center seeks to build a prosperous, healthy, equitable South Side Columbus, Ohio, neighborhood by bringing together a diverse array of partners to connect neighbors with services they need and, ultimately, to empower families to transcend systemic poverty.


1/15/2024Tiffany McGinnis, CPA, MPA, director of client service at Kaiser Consulting, attended the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Breakfast Celebration co-hosted by Leadership Westerville and the Westerville Public Library.
