11/14/2023 – Tiffany McGinnis, CPA, MPA, director of client service, and accounting consultants Nicole Fackler, MBA, Joel Kratzer, CPA (Inactive), Ali Lee, LSSYB, MAcc, George Livingston, CPA, and Sharon Thompson, represented Kaiser Consulting while attending the Insurance Accounting & Systems Association (IASA) Ohio Chapter’s 46th Annual Conference and tending the firm’s booth in the Exhibitor Business Show. The IASA conference is the largest regional insurance accounting conference, offering relevant, insightful and timely sessions for insurance and accounting professionals.
11/8/2023 – Kaiser Consulting team members attended the 2023 Columbus Business First Best Places to Work in Central Ohio Celebration at Nationwide Arena in downtown Columbus to recognize the top-rated workplace cultures in our business community. Kaiser Consulting was delighted to be named a Best Place to Work for the eighth time and be ranked #1 out of 10 medium-sized companies for 2023! FINACA members gather in person twice a year to discuss current relevant topics and network with members of other firms. The theme of this fall's conference, Connect, Trust, Share, and Learn, reaffirmed FINACA's core values and included discussions about recruiting, cybersecurity, business-building insights, strategic planning, new technologies in the accounting space, and much more.
10/5/2023 – Melanie Gerosa, CPA, MBA, shareholder + director of recruiting at Kaiser Consulting, presented "Interviewing Tips & Tricks" to an audience of 60+ college students attending the first of two virtual sessions of the Accounting Careers Leadership Academy (ACLA) conference hosted by The Ohio CPA Foundation. The ACLA aims to prepare students for a successful future in the accounting industry and build a strong pipeline of talented CPAs and accounting professionals. Kaiser Consulting was proud to be a sponsor of the 2023 ACLA program and a $500 scholarship awarded to a student during the in-person closing brunch.

7/20/2023 – Kaiser Consulting was a Session Sponsor for The Ohio Society of CPAs Women, Wealth & Wellness 2023 Virtual Conference, Your Life, Your Terms, presented by the Women's Initiatives Committee (WIC). The conference brought together accounting, finance and business professionals to hear inspirational leaders across multiple industries share insights about overcoming setbacks, breaking boundaries and building the life and career you seek. Sarah Matthews, CPA, consultant + quality control coordinator for outsourced accounting at Kaiser Consulting and OSCPA statewide WIC member and co-chair of the Cincinnati regional sub-committee, represented our firm by welcoming participants to the session, "Breaking News—You Do You" and introducing session presenter and broadcaster, Monica Day of NBC4 WCMH-TV Columbus. Additionally, Kaiser Consulting was proud to award a sophomore accounting major attending Miami University a $500 scholarship during the conference.
5/23/2023 - 5/24/2023 – Lori Kaiser, CPA, CGMA, MBA, founder + CEO of Kaiser Consulting, attended the Spring Governing Council meeting of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). The Governing Council is the governing body of the AICPA and is comprised of approximately 265 elected members and representatives from every state and U.S. territory. The Council meets twice a year and focuses on issues important to the accounting profession and the AICPA's initiatives. May 2023 marks the completion of Lori's initial three-year term as a representative for Ohio. She will begin a second three-year term representing Ohio in June 2023.
5/23/2023 – Jill Lukshin-Hoff, CPA, MSAc, director of client service at Kaiser Consulting, presented "Internal Controls in a Hybrid Work Environment" at the CORECon Core Skills Conference in Columbus, OH, hosted by The Ohio Society of CPAs. Jill provided insights into the changing landscape of internal controls, identified which internal controls are essential for hybrid workplaces, and explained the importance of evaluating the internal control environment as an ongoing process.
5/23/2023 – Sarah Matthews, CPA, consultant + quality control coordinator for outsourced accounting, represented Kaiser Consulting at a wine tasting and networking event hosted by the Cincinnati Committee of The Ohio Society of CPAs Women's Initiatives Group. 5/16/2023 – Kaiser Consulting was delighted to host a three-hour webinar, "Ohio Ethics Professional Standards & Responsibilities," for business professionals to learn about ethics and earn continuing professional education. Topics discussed included key components of an ethical culture, specific ethics rules for CPAs, and valuable lessons based on real-life examples. Alison Williams, CIA, CISA, IT audit consultant at Kaiser Consulting, developed and presented the live virtual course.
5/11/2023 – Michele Himes, CPA, CGMA, MAPS, and Tracey Holecek, CPA, both shareholders + managing directors of client service at Kaiser Consulting, attended the Women in Leadership Panel & Luncheon hosted by the Columbus Committee of The Ohio Society of CPAs Women Initiatives Group. The Women's Initiatives Group is an opportunity for women CPAs to gather, engage, and explore workplace trends, successes and challenges—all to help move women to greater CPA success. Tracey joined other female business leaders for a panel discussion. The panelists shared their career paths, addressed difficulties they had overcome, and provided advice to help others grow personally and professionally.
5/4/2023 – Lori Kaiser, CPA, CGMA, MBA, founder + CEO, Michele Himes, CPA, CGMA, MAPS, and Tracey Holecek, CPA, both shareholders + managing directors of client service, represented Kaiser Consulting at the 2023 Visionary Awards presented by the National Association of Business Owners, Columbus, OH Chapter (NAWBO Columbus). The nonprofit organization is the premier organization serving women business owners in Central Ohio. The annual Visionary Awards honor Central Ohio women business owners who have succeeded with their businesses while making notable contributions to their communities, industries, and initiatives for other women in business. Lori was the keynote speaker at the event. She shared her entrepreneurial journey, including creating a part-time, flexible work environment in a pre-internet era, establishing a culture that attracts talent and engages team members, and her work supporting and mentoring Columbus women. Since 2014, Kaiser Consulting has been a proud corporate member of NAWBO Columbus.
5/3/2023 - Lisa Glass, CPA, MAcc, director of client service at Kaiser Consulting, enjoyed serving as a volunteer judge at the “Best of Taste” pre-event competition for the Taste of Cincinnati (OH), a culinary arts festival held in Downtown Cincinnati over Memorial Day weekend. Lisa was randomly selected to participate in the competition as a current Alumni Network member of The Leadership Center at the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber. Membership in the Alumni Network is open to graduates of the Chamber's leadership programs. We are delighted to recognize Lisa as a 2019 graduate of The Leadership Center's WE Lead (Women Excel Leadership) program, which provides coaching and professional development experiences for women leaders in the Cincinnati region.
4/27/2023 - Jill Kerns, CISA, shareholder + managing director of IT compliance & data security, attended the 2023 Women of Achievement Luncheon hosted by YWCA Columbus. The nonprofit organization is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all. The annual luncheon honors a select group of women in Columbus, OH, who have made extraordinary contributions to their families, workplaces, and communities.

Lori Kaiser, CPA, CGMA, MBA, founder + CEO of Kaiser Consulting, represented our firm at the Spring 2023 Conference, where members participated in discussions about business challenges, emotional intelligence, cultural fit, and leadership development.
4/17/2023 – Lori Kaiser, CPA, CGMA, MBA, founder + CEO of Kaiser Consulting, presented "Module 6: Managing a P&L" to participants in the Women for Executive Leadership's (WELD) Pathway to Executive Leadership Program. The six-month virtual program takes a cohort of individuals through six core areas that build leadership efficacy for the manager role. In her presentation, Lori discussed three key areas, including establishing a foundation for understanding financial statements, utilizing financial knowledge and key performance indicators to manage the profit and loss statement, and applying financial knowledge to lead the way in budgeting, decision making and internal controls.
4/16/2023 – Kaiser Consulting team members Tiffany McGinnis, CPA, MPA, director of client service, Jay Baliga, MBA, Hema Gopala Reddy, CA, and Megha Manek, MBA, all accounting consultants, attended the Indian Women Collaboration's (IWC) International Women's Day Celebration held in Westerville, OH. Jay is a founding member and current treasurer of the IWC, a Columbus-based nonprofit that uplifts women of Indian origin by assisting with education and employment and providing a platform for members to voice their opinions. Kaiser Consulting was a Grand Sponsor for the event, and Hema was a guest speaker. She shared her inspiring story of growing up in India and moving to the U.S. to continue her education.
4/13/2023 – Lori Kaiser, CPA, CGMA, MBA, founder + CEO of Kaiser Consulting, presented "Accounting and Entrepreneurship" to students attending a Business Management class taught by adjunct faculty member Brian Reed at Columbus State Community College. Lori shared lessons she has learned on her journey of owning and operating an accounting firm that she grew from a sole proprietorship to an award-winning firm with close to 100 employees.
3/4/2023 – Tiffany McGinnis, CPA, MPA, director of client service at Kaiser Consulting, co-chaired and attended the Westerville (Ohio) Sunrise Rotary Club's annual Speakeasy event benefiting Central Ohio charities. The fundraiser helped Children's Hunger Alliance, a statewide nonprofit organization founded in 1970 dedicated to ending childhood hunger in Ohio; Westerville Area Resource Ministry (WARM), a nonprofit organization that provides compassionate short-term assistance, educational services and spiritual support to individuals and families in need; and the Westerville Sunrise Rotary Foundation, a nonprofit organization committed to helping causes in the local Central Ohio and global communities, including promoting peace, fighting disease, supporting education and helping children in need.
3/1/2023 - Lisa Glass, CPA, MAcc, director of client service at Kaiser Consulting, attended the Securing the Future educational conference hosted by the Leadership Council for Nonprofits. The annual half-day conference is dedicated to building the strategic, leadership and resource development skills of Greater Cincinnati nonprofits' board members, staff and donors.
2/24/2023 – Tracey Holecek, CPA, shareholder + managing director of client service, and Craig Thompson, CPA, CIA, CFSA, MBA, consultant, represented Kaiser Consulting at the Sneaker Soiree benefiting Girls on the Run of Central Ohio. Girls on the Run is a nonprofit supporting an international movement to creatively incorporate running into a self-esteem-building program to inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident. For the second year in a row, Kaiser Consulting was proud to be a sponsor of this remarkable event where all proceeds benefit girls in need in Central Ohio.

1/17/2023 – Kaiser Consulting is privileged to support worthy activities through Kaiser Cares, our firmwide platform for community giving and volunteerism. CelebrateOne, a City of Columbus initiative, helps pregnant women and new moms in need have a healthy pregnancy and first year so that every child can celebrate turning one. This winter, we supported CelebrateOne’s goal of distributing 9,000 sleep slacks to Central Ohio hospitals to help keep babies warm and safe. Our Kaiser Cares volunteers helped move the initiative forward by adding informational materials on the “ABCs of Safe Sleep” to over 275 sleep sacks, which provide a safe alternative to blankets in a baby’s crib.
