On a Lighter Note

Have you ever participated in a physically or mentally challenging activity?
Yes, two achievements were particularly challenging. First, when I turned my love of skiing into becoming a certified ski instructor with a specialization in avalanche search and rescue, the certification process by the Professional Ski Instructors of America in Aspen, Colorado, was rigorous. And second, when I studied wines and spirits and successfully passed an examination with the Court of Master Sommeliers.

If you could witness any historical event, what would you want to see?
I would really like to go back in time and watch the pyramids in Egypt being built. Also, I think it would be interesting to see how Stonehenge was assembled!

Who is someone you admire, and why?
Klaus Obermeyer, founder of Sport Obermeyer, Ltd., for his inspiring approach to life. Klaus is over 100 years old and still oversees the Obermeyer apparel brand, swims 30 minutes daily, skis during ski season, and says, “Our greatest freedom is how we look at things. We have a choice of perception. We can choose to look at something positively or negatively.” Klaus is a pioneer and legend in the ski industry – his contributions to skiing and skiwear are unparalleled and valued within the outdoor community.
