What are some causes you support?
I support several charities, including the Malawi Talent Fund, which uses a business model to develop sustainable jobs, career development, and mentorship within the African nation of Malawi. Malawi, Africa is one of the poorest countries on earth. With unemployment well above 70%, those fortunate to have work earn, on average, a mere $2 or so USD per day. Another charity I support is Almost Home Dog Rescue of Ohio. AHDRO’s mission is to provide homeless collies, shelties, and mixes of both breeds a safe haven where they will receive medical care, nutrition, and love until their forever homes are found.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I enjoy singing in organized choirs. I am a member of our church’s choir, along with my wife. We have also participated in the Otterbein Summer Choral, which provides an opportunity to learn & sing with talented music majors.
What is one of the best pieces of advice you have ever been given?
The advice is simple but holds true in every situation. Always treat others as you would wish to be treated. Treat them with respect and a kind heart.
